California Leads Nation with First Fund for Undocumented Families Impacted by COVID-19

The Children’s Partnership would like to applaud Governor Newsom for creating a first-in-the-nation fund to support undocumented families who have been impacted by COVID-19, but are excluded from federal relief and ineligible for state safety-net programs.  We thank you for your continued commitment to truly build a California for all.

Uplifted in The Children’s Partnership’s recent letter to Governor Newsom, this is one of a number of critical steps that California should take to further protect the health and wellbeing of California’s 9 million children, half of whom have an immigrant parent.

We extend our appreciation to the California Latino Caucus and  philanthropic partners, including Blue Shield of California Foundation, The California Endowment, Irvine Foundation and others, for your support of all who call California home. The collective health and wellbeing of our state depends upon every member of our community accessing the support they need to overcome the pandemic; we must not leave anyone behind.
