Los Angeles Unites to Support Wildfire Victims

The Children’s Partnership is always working towards a California where every child has what they need to be safe and to thrive. In times of emergency, we come together to protect one another. Many of our employees live in and around the Los Angeles area and we’ve all had friends and family impacted by the fires.
Our staff has gathered this list of resources for those affected by the fires as well as for the responders working tirelessly to minimize damage to our communities. Please use and share these resources widely to support those in need.

- Right of Entry Forms Now Available in Spanish: The Right of Entry form, available in Spanish and English, is part of Phase 2 of debris removal. It allows residents to opt-in or opt-out of the county’s free debris removal program, ensuring safe debris removal at no cost by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. More info here in Spanish, and here in English. The deadline to submit the Right of Entry form is March 31, 2025. Residents can call the Fire Debris Hotline at (844) 347-3332 with questions or to get help completing the form.
- How to Apply for FEMA Relief & Appeal a FEMA Decision: The deadline to apply is March 10, 2025. Residents have the right to appeal any FEMA decision or award amount. To learn more about options and what to do next, click here.

Food and Nutrition
- Time Out LA: Find a list of restaurants offering free meals to evacuees.
- Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is working with its network of more than 600 partner agencies to assess needs during the SoCal wildfire emergency. If you need food assistance in Los Angeles County, check out this map to find food near you.
- Blaze Pizza will give away 11-inch pizzas for free, with options ranging from four cheese, pepperoni, Red Vine and Herbivore. Blaze is at 3210 Glendale Galleria, in Glendale.
- CALFRESH BENEFITS CAN BE USED FOR HOT OR PREPARED FOODS
Do you live in an area impacted by wildfires, and/or power outages? If so, households receiving CalFresh are allowed to use their benefits, on their Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards, to purchase hot prepared foods at USDA-Food and Nutrition Service authorized retail food stores in L.A. County. available until February 8, 2025
Shelter and Showers
- Airbnb: Partnering with 211 LA, Airbnb, Hilton and American Express is providing free temporary housing for displaced individuals. More info here.
- Queen Mary Hotel: Rooms are priced at $189 for evacuees, including a breakfast buffet for two and waived pet and historical preservation fees.
- Big Bear Retreat: A curated list of vacation homes and hotels for evacuees seeking rest can be found here.
- Visit Anaheim: Offers special hotel rates and assistance. Details are available on their official website.
- YMCA: Community response information and resources are available at YMCA LA.
- The Housing Rights Center (HRC) is here to support #LACounty and #VenturaCounty residents as we navigate this emergency together. HRC offers free, private, and confidential housing counseling to tenants and landlords. - Diabetes supplies: You’re Just My Type, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the mental wellbeing of those living with Type 1 Diabetes is collaborating with Mutual Aid Diabetes (MAD) to collect and distribute type 1 diabetes supplies. Childcare
To support families impacted by the Eaton fire, LA County Parks Care Camps will provide youth and teens with a supportive space for fun and recreation including music, arts and crafts, sports activities and field trips to the LA County Natural History Museum, La Brea Tar Pits, Dodger Stadium, & more. Breakfast, snacks, and lunch will be provided daily; teens will also get supper.

- Medication dispensation centers have been set up at disaster resource centers, as of January 14, 2025. These centers are staffed with nurses who are supposed to be able to help you get refills for prescriptions you may have lost, etc.

- Teladoc Health is offering free, 24/7 virtual medical care to people in Southern California impacted by the fires

- LA Abortion Support Collective is offering free birth, postpartum, and abortion support—as well as free emotional companion and resource navigation support for people directly impacted by the fires.
