California Stands Together Against Inhumane Immigration Raids

The Children’s Partnership is horrified by the inhumane and unnecessary federal immigration raids that are taking place across the Los Angeles area. There is no justification for the fear and trauma these actions are causing to reverberate through our immigrant families and communities. Family separation and the fear of detention and deportation affects our children in ways that will be felt for generations to come. We condemn these acts and urge our leaders and all of us to continue standing up for California families and values.

Our partners at California Immigrant Policy Center have curated a list of Rapid Response resources as well as Know Your Rights resources that you can refer to here:

California Collaborative for Immigrant Justice has created a guide to help those with detained family or community members find their next steps after contacting their Rapid Response team.

The Center for Law and Social Policy has developed a list of resources to help parents and providers address the trauma that current immigration policy is causing young children.

Legal Aid Justice Center has created an expansive toolkit to aid in rapid response, including direction for when ICE shows up at your home and how to put safe guardianship into place for children in immigrant families.

ALL IN for Safe Schools has a list of resources for early childhood and K-12 education providers, Know Your Rights resources, mental health resources and more to support welcoming, inclusive and affirming learning environments—especially for children in immigrant families and LGBTQ+ students.
