Santa Monica, CA – The Children’s Partnership (TCP) announced that Kathy Dresslar, Chief of Staff to former California Senate President pro Tempore Darrell Steinberg, will join the national children’s advocacy organization to lead its Sacramento governmental affairs program.

Dresslar has extensive and wide-ranging experience in the Capitol and on children’s issues. She has served in senior positions for several legislators as well as Senior Policy Advocate for the Children’s Advocacy Institute, which convened the Children’s Roundtable.

Dresslar will succeed current Director of Governmental Affairs, Kathleen Hamilton, who is retiring after representing The Children’s Partnership in Sacramento for the past five years and after 40 years of high-profile public policy work.
