Our equity-driven agenda addresses health, social and economic disparities for children in order to pave the way to a more just, fair and inclusive society, where all children can reach their full potential.

We believe that the most effective and sustainable solutions are those arising from shared ideas, approaches and resources. Because of this, we place partnerships at the heart of our work. This enables us to collaborate with and leverage a diverse network of strategic partners from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, to champion innovative programs and policies that help children thrive.

We serve as both an ally and a resource for underserved communities and actively learn about their needs in order to understand the many challenges facing kids and families. Such research lays the foundation for the policy recommendations, digital innovations and other community resources that we champion for both local implementation and national adoption.

California is at the forefront of the changing demographics of the nation, and we champion policies and programs at the state level that will serve as a model for the nation in our collective efforts to support children. By applying a children’s lens to issues under consideration by policymakers, we serve as a resource for leaders and partners in our shared agenda to support the needs of our most vulnerable children.

By nature, our work is often fast-paced, high-pressured and politically challenging.
